In response to product shortages, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is temporarily exercising discretionary enforcement to allow the importation of specific products into Canada. This includes products that, while not fully complying with Canadian labelling and composition requirements, have been approved by a foreign regulatory authority or are allowed to be sold in foreign jurisdictions that have high quality and manufacturing standards similar to Canada.
